It’s brilliant. I’m quite happy to use it in crop mode when I want a little more reach. Lots of zooms finish around 70mm. With FF and newer sensors cropping them for extra reach is not a problem. Lens size/space to cover 70-130 ish is a waste of lens size and weight as far as I’m concerned. What I really need is another relatively small light travel zoom that starts at about 120/150 mm and goes to around 300. F4 is fine. If it had a TC that would be even better but the TC is not essential. I have the same problem with the newly announced Sony 70-200 but it has the advantage of having a TC available.
